Tea Tuesday

Just got back from library duty at school. I'm having the last of the loose leaf tea my MIL gave me. It has a really good flavor.

I had to buy one of those tea ball thingies so I could enjoy the tea a while back. I know I had one years ago but somehow when I actually wanted to use it...I couldn't find it anymore. Isn't that just the way of things!

Stop by my Kimmies blog to see what my friends are up to today.

  1. There's something so different between bag teas and loose herbal teas, isn't there? I just found a great loose tea strainer stick on Etsy and love it. It's my first "Tea on Tuesdays" so it's wonderful to meet you :)

  2. Teavana is a nice tea shop, visited one locally a couple of times back when

I am drawn to tea 'thingies' in addition to their intended purpose I keep thinking I might alter them somehow?

Happy T to ya sweet Halle

  3. I know what you mean about needing one of those tea holder thingies. So glad you bought one. Now your tea leaves won't stay in the tea. Am I making any sense? I am running out of energy.

  4. I've tried and dislike those metal strainer thingies....have you seen the little fold-over bags you can fill and drop in your tea like a bag without a string? They're so nice cuz you can fill a bunch up at a time, store in a ziploc and have ready for a quick brew....plus, they are disposable....I hate cleaning leaves outta those metal thingies :)

    Love your orange mug!

  5. .... and what a cute little metal canister for your tea :)

The teaball thingies are a little tempermental .... my favorite thing to use is a mesh thingie that fits inside my japanese teapot ... we're so technical aren't we with all this talk about "thingies" ..... but we know exactly what we mean don't we?!

  8. Love your aluminum tea cannister!
I sometimes just dump the tea into the pot and then use a small strainer to pour through. I am too lazy to dig out my tea ball!

  9. Hi Halle thanks for dropping by for tea. Yes The Pioneer Woman give away... did you see how many people had applied ? amazing, but the mixer was beautiful. I have a special tea pot that has a sort of mesh insert that sits under the lid that you fill with tea leaves and then pour your water over, put the lid on, brew, then pour. It is so easy and clean and quick to empty, I think it is better than the tea bally thing. Happy Tea on Tuesday to you .
