Flags and a garden update

So I go out to check the side garden this morning and the deer have eaten the tops off my green beans and snow pea plants. Wasn't that nice of them...pesky things.  So I decided that maybe some flags would scare them...create some movement...and generally get in the way of their snacking. Bonus...I think they look cute.  We'll see what happens.

The garden box is also doing very well.  There are tons of little green tomatoes on the plants.

Check it out ...

Nature is funny at times.

  1. I love your flags :)
I hope they do the trick - that would be so so aggravating!
Your nosy tomato is a kick!

  6. I have never had a deer problem. I live in an area that is too populous. But I have a bunny rabbit and bird problem. As a result, I only have TWO tomato plants out of 16 that I planted that survived. And they are not doing well. Yours are far more productive and cute, too! Hope those flags do the trick. They look really fun.

  8. Great little garden! Darn deer, good thing they are so beautiful :)
They come around mostly in the winter here--eating all the bottom half of everyones cedars!

  9. We have a huge deer problem. They come and lounge in our backyard. Hubby runs out and screams at them. What a sight! We have deer fencing around our main garden but we spray Deer Stopper and Deer and Rabbit repellent not just around our gardens but on our hostas since they love them. Good luck with the flags. They do look cute!!
