Missing Tea

I never realized that I'd be busy over summer.
Honestly, I don't know where the times goes.

I'm afraid my Tea Tuesday friends from Kimmie's blog may have forgotten about me or worse, thought I forgot about them.

I'm skipping the tea for today and going for a big glass of ice water.
We've had so much rain here. Now high temps and humidity...with more storms due tonight.

My garden is mud...

Luckily the plants aren't seeming to mind.

I've got tomatoes on every plant.

In addition to gardening, I've been "home-schooling" this summer. Trying to keep the kids brains engaged so they can retain the info they've already learned.

Other craft goodness has been on the agenda as well.

We just came home from knitting group...

And I've been sewing as well.

So I guess when you add up everything going on, it's not to difficult to see where the time went.

What's keeping you busy this summer?

  1. I figured you were busier than ever with the kids home for summer vacation...great idea about not letting their brains totally go on vacation ;)

Water is my favorite all time drink and your glass looks especially inviting out in your pretty garden ... hope your storms blow over and bring some cooler temps for you and not too much rain...

Happy T day to ya Halle

  2. you have been busy and iced water is entirely appropriate when it is so hot... we are rugged up to the eyeballs here through a horrid cold snap and I am dreaming of December and the summer break... hope you get a bit of a break in the coming weeks and the garden continues to thrive!!!!

  3. It was good to see you at Tea today. Seems Tuesday stays busy for you whether it's summer or winter. So glad you found the time to join in, even with your water.

WOW, those tomatoes are awesome. I don't even have any little yellow flowers yet, after the hail storm caused so much devastation. Glad your garden is thriving, even if it is a bit muddy!

  4. No matter what's going on, the days do seem to fly. Looks like you are being very productive. Good for you keeping the kids engaged. I could do that when my boys were younger, but now at 16 and 13, they are having none of that study business over the summer. :/ Fresh tomatoes are the best for so many things. Enjoy! Tammy

  5. Definitely time sure does fly by in the blink of an eye!! It is really hot here and we need rain badly so send some our way if you could! :)

I'm getting ready to head to the movies with my mom...we were gonna swim but it is supposed to be a heat index of 100...figured we better stick to air conditioning! Have a great day!

  6. summer goes by too fast! I'm glad to see that you have some projects going on though - it's way too easy to let things slide when everyone's at home!
