Photoshop butterfly

Using some custom brushes and actions, I gave my photo a whole new look.

Beautiful butterflies

I got some amazing shots with my little pocket camera at the Blooming Butterflies immersion exhibit at the Como Zoo.

Grey can be pretty too

Even though it was overcast and rainy most of the time, we still enjoyed Lake Superior.

Harvest time

Once again, I ate the first of them before even thinking of taking a photo.

I love my little container garden. It's so awesome to just step outside to collect fresh herbs for my recipes.

Next year I hope to have a small garden next to our shed. Then I can try growing new veggies.

Tooth Fairy Pillow

My baby lost her first baby tooth...

It was time to decorate the pre-made satin pillow I had bought specifically for this purpose years ago...when my 1st baby lost his first tooth.

NOTE: A pocket pillow hanging on the doorknob makes it much easier for the Toothfairy to do her job.

I let my girl pick out all the decorations...she seems to have a pretty good sense of color. Although sometimes you'd never know it by the outfits she puts together. Good grief!!

Quick little painting

I felt the urge to paint something. The blue and orange combo is something I'm loving a lot more lately.

The texture is dressmakers pattern paper randomly set into the still wet gesso. I love texture!

Or maybe you do....twice a day

at least during the PGA....

You don't see this everyday...

At least not over your own house. The Goodyear blimp was on it's way to the PGA Championship at Hazeltine National...just a few miles down the road from me.

I haven't had an celebrity sightings but I don't get out much and definitely not to the high end places that those folks would be visiting.

Butterfly pages

I really wanted to do another lesson for the AB101 class I took online. It was over long ago but I have yet to finish. Of course my muse didn't cooperate with me today and this is the spread that came out. It incorporated NONE, ZIP, ZERO of the lessons..oh well. I never was much of a rule follower.

I decided to only glue down one side of each butterfly so they'd have a dimensional quality. Hopefully they'll still pop up after being smashed in the book over time.

Glass Bead Magnets

OK...they will be magnets as soon as I get some to attach to the silver painted backs.

These were really fun to make. Next time I want to get some glass bits that aren't as iridescent.
