I'm an artist and SAHM from the upper mid-west. In addition to my passion for paper art and mixed-media; I enjoy sewing, painting, photography, jewelry making and gardening. I love finding ways to reuse, re-purpose and recycle everyday items into art or other basic utilitarian objects.
I'm working at getting back to the basics: healthy food, reduced chemical load in our home, exercise and spending time with family.
Here's my latest bit of miniature terrain for the boy. Obviously it's a hill but this one is tall enough to block line of sight. Otherwise know as something to hide behind. :)
Looks like you are on a roll with this terrain. I hope you'll show the entire setup once you've finished it. What a great mom you are to make this for your son.
I went back to read what this was all about. How creative and what a wonderful way to share your art with your son, no doubt he will get hours of enjoyment from your terrain. mirrors work great as water! just a thought!
wonderful addition ... we call our youngest 22 year old "the boy" too ;)
I first thought "turtle" when I glanced ... it's a great piece ... your son's friends will want you to make special bits for them too if you're not careful :) oxo

This looks like a dirt hat-- which has its own possibilities for a continuing theme!
