With the cold weather settling in, I really was under pressure to get this one done.

She loves it and told me that it's so snuggly warm.

12 days of Christmas swap

Yes, I did say Christmas! I was just grumbling to my husband about the holiday sales and lighting ceremonies that are going on already...call me a hypocrite.

These likely won't hit the mail until Monday. We're due for the first snow of the season tomorrow and I tend to stay home, if possible, on that day...too many fender benders.

It always amazes me that everyone seems to forget how to drive in snow during the scant 5 months that it's generally not falling. DUH!!!! Get a grip people...it's Minnesota!!! Learn how to drive.

Playtime

I spent a very pleasant afternoon in the craft room with my daughter. Daddy had come home sick so we figured we'd spend some time on a quiet activity while he rested.

I don't really understand art dolls or why people make them but am always willing to experiment. Moonflower child was actually kind of fun to create.

What I really should have been doing today was working on my 12 days of Christmas swap that is due in a couple weeks. I just can't seem to get into making these gifts this year!

Playtime altered book

Since I completed my Just for Fun altered book I had nowhere to play. I started a new book this morning. I'm calling this one my Playtime altered book.

This is the first spread.

I started smack in the middle of the book for a change. I was basically trying out some new supplies I acquired.

I went to an awesome sale a few blocks from here last week and got all of these supplies for $8.50!!! Everything was unopened or nearly newly! The gal ran a rubber stamp business and was moving across the country so she decided to liquidate.

As luck would have it, I didn't have much cash and the kids were along, otherwise I'd have likely way overspent my budget. You just don't come by sale s like that very often!!
