Friday Freebie
Boys love cars...well, lots of girls do too...but boys just seem to have more of a love affair with them.
Enjoy!

Bits and pieces
I thought I'd show you some of the projects I've been trying to work on until my back tells me to stop.
I had started each of these projects BEFORE hurting my back...
First, a bunch of glass marble magnets...
Then a tiny sneak peek at my 12 Days of Christmas swap...
And finally, another piece of miniature terrain.
I have to admit that I'm really having fun making this stuff. It's a challenge and work is slow...which can become frustrating but the results are worth the wait.

Hello..remember me?!?
I feel as if it's been ages since I've posted anything.
At least I had my Friday freebie scheduled to post... I threw out my back on Thursday and today is the first day I've been able to sit at the computer without a great amount of pain and back spasms.
I have been slowly working on a couple things over the past couple weeks. Some miniature terrain and a 12 days of Christmas swap(which I can't show full photos of until they are opened).
My girl and hubby carved some nice pumpkins over the weekend. I roasted the seeds and they are oh so yummy!
Stay tuned...I promise I'll be back in gear soon. Feeling better each day!

Welcome to the world....
If you remember, a little while ago I made a diaper cake as a baby shower gift.
Well... that baby has arrived! A sweet baby girl!
I can't wait to meet her!!

Friday Freebie
I'm a little slow on the draw here today... It is really Friday already!
Take a look at this somber couple. They must have been a barrel of laughs at a party!
I've used this image before in an altered book.
I think it fit very well...check out the full post.
Have a wonderful weekend!!

Are you aware...
that October is Breast Cancer Awareness month? Well, it IS in case you were confused. About a week ago, I added a new badge to my sidebar stating as such...
Breast cancer has special meaning in my life... My mom is a survivor. I was actually born AFTER her radical mastectomy...even more shocking was that I was born within that critical 5 year window. My parents met AFTER mom's cancer.
All that being said... Be aware of your "girls"...know your body... something seems odd...get it checked!!
I had my first mammogram at age 26 as a baseline... Nothing to be afraid of. Take charge of your health, of your body...it's the only one you have!
I will now step down off my soap box and return you to your regularly scheduled programing...thank you and good night.

This is a first....
On Thursday I decide it's time to bring in my plants for the winter...not realizing the very next day it will be 88°F.
So yesterday afternoon I come around the corner in the family room and find this....
It's a tree frog!!
And it has adhered itself to the INSIDE of my brand new sliding glass door!!!! Are you kidding me!?!?
Apparently I moved his home indoors without an eviction notice.
I gently evicted him with the help of a plastic cup and spoon...wishing him a happy life somewhere in the OUTDOORS.

October Dress
So here I am...a week past the October deadline for the Dress-up Project... But on the bright side...it IS still October!!
Since I seem to be doing nothing but raking leaves lately, this seemed like the natural choice for October. The bodice of the dress if cut from suede scraps. The skirt is made from a pack of silk leaves. Hot glue holds the whole works together. Feels very woodland nymph-ish to me. I even had to give a light spray of spray adhesive with a sprinkle of glitter for this one.
Hop on over to Margaret's Alice and Camilla Blog to check out the other wonderful October Dresses!! You won't be sorry that you did!

Friday Freebie
This week I'd like to offer yet another oldie but goodie.
In fact, it predates cabinet cards...it's a tintype.
Enjoy!

Good grief...
I thought this was an art blog!!! For some odd reason, I seem to be making less art than ever lately.
My time seems to be split amongst school volunteering, outside winter prep, my mother's appts and the dreaded housework, as of late.
I SO need to be creative but the rest of it won't wait. I'm beginning to get the shakes....
I have been working on some Miniature Terrain, which I have moved off onto a secondary page for those curious enough to venture there. Refer to tabs under title frame if interested....

Friday Freebie
This weeks photo is very old...in fact, its a small cabinet card.
The boy looks less than thrilled to be having his picture taken. I guess some things never change....
