Week 2 of the Postcard Challenge and our country is Spain!
Thadeus is sending his first postcard to Maggie.
I cheated a bit with this card and simply printed it off and glued it down.
I fell in love with the texture applied to the image. The only thing I added was a little gold ink on the corners.
Keeping the writing style different between these two characters was something that I wondered if I'd be able to accomplish since I have a very distinctive handwriting.
I was given the hint of writing with my non-dominant hand.
Tried it...was barely readable.
I decided to hold my pen in a completely odd way and came up with Thadeus' style while Maggie will remain my own hand. Good thing postcards are small because I was getting a cramp!!

Love your page and your postcard! Can't wait to see what happens next!
I love your card and the worn look of the Spanish flag. Great choice. A xx
Great job on cheating for the postcard! I think it's very pretty!!! :)
I've been thinking about how to write too... It's not easy to write 'out of your comfort zone'! You did well!
Cheating worked, it looks great!
Love your card, and the neat writing! Valerie
If my writing was half as nice as yours' i'd be happy! Love your altered card, a lovely effect! Mx
no wonder you loved it, i adore that grungy texture on patterned papers.

why is it cheating? I love the simplicity of your design choice that makes the texture the feature, and I am impressed with your determination to create two 'hands'
Dx
great idea about the hand writing- I oped for computer script print for Allen but I like it nonetheless.
It's not cheating ...there have to be rules for you to cheat lol :D. Excellent change of handwriting :D XXX
Not cheating, just another style. There are 50 weeks left plenty of time to do any style a girl fancies :)
It is a great texture - lovely and grungy.
You absolutely captured the texture and the colors are striking.
brilliant :)
I love the grunginess of your card it compliments the bright colours beautifully!
Great postcard and the grunging is brilliant.

I'm loving the way you were able to change your handwriting. I had to laugh when you said your hand cramped. Believe me, I know that feeling. Comes from gripping the pen or pencil. Seems it's the only way I know how to write.
I was very interested in the wonderful dialogue/conversation you have started between your two players. This will be a fun year for you and one you can look back on through these postcards, too.
what a grand adventure...it will be fun to follow your two characters and I appreciate your attention to detail re the handwriting too!

The handwriting is amazing. I can't wait to read more.
Gorgeous distressed look of the postcard! I was wondering the same about handwriting but decided not to complicate things for me and stick with my handwriting. :)
ooh, i love your postcard! i know what you mean about the handwriting -- i've had struggles with that too in some of my books and art pieces. you did a magnificent job!
I found the different styles of writing hard to accomplish too - well done you pulled it off, love the distressed style of your image on the front of your card xxx
I wrote in 2 different font's & printed them out, bit of a cheat with the hand-writing LOL, really like the distressed look of the postcard & texture you created, well done!
Love the grunge look to this postcard!
How cool that you are doing this challenge-- I hope to join this week in Brazil! Like how you thought out the handwriting issue (! haven't thought that far!)
If I'd found this postcard I'd have used it..love the grungy distress look..cool idea for the handwriting too..Esther xx
