Gothic Arch

This was made from stuff I had in my scrap bucket.  I'm trying to back to making art but sometimes I feel as if I'm trying too hard. Maybe I just need to let it happen.

Poor Ken....

He lost his tuxedo...so my 8yr old found this ensemble for him.
***I must apologize in advance to all the die-hard Barbie/Ken fans out there.***
It is kind of amusing though....in a weird 80's glam rock sort of way....

Holy premature publication Batman...

I just realized that I published my Friday Freebie...on Thursday. That's what happens when I try to get ahead for once...I mess it up.

Here's today's freebie. Or you could just scroll down. :)

Friday Freebie

Another oldie but a goodie!
Cute little kids...presumably brother and sister..  Love that little brother is standing on a box to reach big sisters height.

Citra solv background postcard

I'm trying to get back into my groove after the Holiday's.

So far this postcard is all I have to show for my efforts.

Tea and goodies from the mailbox

Running a little behind today...I had to fill in at the school library.

While I was out I stopped by my PO Box and found a wonderful piece of Mail Art from Linda.

The packaging is outstanding! I sat and savored it with my tea before opening.

Linda is so sweet...I left a comment on her blog a while back saying how much I loved the mail art she had received.
She emailed me and asked for my address so she could send me some mail art too!

Inside I found these wonderful bits of ephemera and an ATC.
I never expected such an awesome piece of mail art with little gifties inside as well!

Thanks so much Linda!

New year...new goals

After going through last years goals and what I accomplished, I feel it's important for me to set some new goals for 2011.

ART:
  • List at least one thing a week in my etsy store.
  • Finish our vacation scrapbook
  • knit or crochet one project using proper directions (something I really struggle with)
  • Improve my photography skill
LIFE:
  • return to our healthy eating regimen
  • workout 3 times a week
  • weekly family board game night with full media blackout
  • keep a journal
