Little bits of creativity

I've been working on a few things over the last couple weeks.

I made the cover for my ABC_alteredbookclub 8th Anniversary swap book. I'm waiting on the last page to arrive before binding.
I used Citra Solv paper for the background then cut the flower from a photograph I took a few years ago.
I added the paper flower and "Joy" brad for interest.

Since we have a few September birthdays in our family I've been busy making cards. This one is for my mom. She loves butterflies and flowers.

Lastly, I'll share a little peek at a mixed-media painting I've been working on. It's not finished...definitely a work in progress.

I'm not having any trouble commenting. I am just LATE getting here! That Anniversary cover is awesome. I'm really impressed. I'm going to wait, too. I learned a long time ago, like you proclaimed, it is difficult to add a page after the book has been bound. Kathy said I could use her machine to bind the book. I got the wires when we were shopping at that scrapbook store a couple of months ago.

I really like the new piece. I can almost visualize it. The sneak peek is very revealing (at least to me, it looks revealing). Can't wait to see how far off I was.

Hi Halle - thanks so much for checking in on me re the earthquake off Vancouver Island. I did not feel it. It was at the very North end of the Island, and I'm at the very South end. I hear that it was felt in Vancouver, which is across the strait (but quite a bit North from Victoria), so it was quite powerful.

Your mixed media painting looks gorgeous so far - I will try to remember to check back for updates. I confess I have not been doing much checking in with my groups or online friends lately. My son just moved back east to go to school in Toronto, so I've been busy with all that and of course work etc.

Thanks again for checking in on me!

Cindy :)
