Tea Tuesday

So actually a pretty laid back Tuesday for me...WOOHOO!
Workout, shower, laundry and art are all on today's list. Already have a couple checked off. It's a good day...with the exception of the rain mixing with ice pellets. BRRR!

My Christmas Cactus  is blooming again. I'm not complaining...  It's just odd. It seems to bloom about Thanksgiving and Easter...although Easter is very late this year.

Check out the steam I was able to capture in my photo....
(click it to enlarge if needed)
I never thought it would actually show in the photos.

You'll find the list of my tea Tuesday friends on Kimmies blog.

Anyone notice that my plant is in a tea cup?!?!

My Christmas cactus is like that too. I call it my Halloween cactus actually .... And then it blooms again in the spring .... Not sure exactly when that is. I read up on it one time and found out that it has to do with the plant getting an equal amount of darkness and light. So it must naturally bloom at the equinoxes.

That is a cool capture of the steam! It's amazing what cameras "see!"

Cheers and happy Tuesday! Kimmie

Great photo! My poor neglected cactus seems to not recognize holidays and blooms at random times. Maybe, if I remembered to water it....

How gorgeous your Christmas Cactus is. It brightens up a day when chores call to you and reminds us that life blooms in the most unpredictable and lovely ways when we allow it too.

Love your photo :) good idea for a flower pot.
I have to check your blog more often than Tuesday. The yarn for the birds really works, it's so funny to see them taking bits. I brushed the dog outside and the birds came and took the fur that the wind blew away :)

What a lovely photo and how clever of you to capture the steam coming off your tea! Your catus looks lovely and it seems so appropriate that it is sitting in a tea cup joining us for tea!!

hi halle,
is it really freezing rain where you are?
it's getting warm and muggy here.
I sort of envy your winter.
EVERyThing here is covered in yellow pollen dust.
Disgusting.

Those Christmas cactus do seem to have odd timing, but I love the color of those blooms...and the tea looks pretty soothing too...hope your day was enjoyable!

I wonder if your Christmas cactus isn't an Easter cactus. I have never known what the difference was, but I sure like the looks of yours. And I was totally impressed with the steaming cup of tea. A real beauty to add to your perfect photos.
